Australian Bingo
Australian bingo comes from the British game of bingo. The Australian name for bingo is called Housie. Even through it is similar to the American Bingo it is not played in the same way.
The printed cards are still used but the cards are different. The American bingo card has five columns and a header that reads B-I-N-G-O. The Australian bingo card has nine columns and three rows that equal to twenty-seven spaces. Each row has four spaces and nine numbers. The arrangement is not always the same from card to card. The most common pattern usually works like this: the first column may have a total of three number combinations that range from 1 to 9. The second column may contain three number combinations that range from 10-19. The third column may contain three number combinations that range from 20-29. The forth column may contain three number combinations that range from 30-39 and so on.
